Norris Electric has been lighting the way since 1947, when Robert V. Norris first laid the foundation for what would become Placer County’s oldest electrical contractor. Specializing in industrial electrical work, Robert got his start wiring projects for California’s iconic foothill watersheds.
In 1973, Ronald and Anna Chiaratti purchased Norris Electric, building on Robert’s vision while carving out a legacy of their own. From renovating Placer High School’s upper campus to Auburn’s first McDonald’s, their projects have become landmarks in the Auburn area. In 1999, the company found its permanent home in the historic building at 700 Lincoln Way, a fitting nod to its long-standing roots.
The tradition continues with Ronald Chiaratti Jr., who grew up in the business and took the helm in 2007. Under his leadership, Norris Electric has evolved to include cutting-edge services like engineering design, CAD capabilities, and solar and battery backup systems. A pivotal moment came in 2004 with the addition of Generac standby generators, followed by Kohler in 2007, making backup power solutions a cornerstone of their operations.
